App Onboarding
A first-run sequence that sets expectations for day-of travel before anyone reaches a checkpoint.
Context
A new member’s first question is not how the app works — it is what the day of travel is going to feel like. Onboarding opens on that promise: Know What To Expect, over real-time updates and flight status for the day you fly.
Problem
TODO — what was failing in the previous first-run experience, and how you knew.
Role & Approach
TODO — your role, the team, and how the work was scoped.
Process
The sequence leads with an editorial voice — a serif italic headline against deep navy — then immediately grounds it in something concrete: a card showing CLEAR at JFK and when to leave to make your gate on time. A persistent “Skip all” keeps the whole thing optional for members who just want in.
User Journey
A member installs the app, sees what CLEAR will tell them on travel day, and either steps through the sequence or skips straight to setup.
Constraints
TODO — the number of screens allowed, where onboarding sits relative to enrollment, and any platform or legal requirements.
Summary
Onboarding sells the day-of experience rather than the feature list — expectations first, mechanics after.
Next Steps
TODO — activation or completion results, and what is still open.
